University of Phoenix: Tortoise and Hare
2024
This animated commercial for the University of Phoenix reimagines the classic fable of the tortoise and the hare, set in a world where speed is outlawed. The production combines CG characters with practical miniature sets, bringing the story to life in a unique and tactile way.
The team built detailed physical models, including a Pacific Northwest–inspired town and a miniature office complete with desks, chairs, computers, and various props to ground the characters in a believable world.
I was responsible for shot lighting and contributed to look development for environmental details. The CG characters blend seamlessly with the practical sets, creating a cohesive visual style that supports the storytelling.
