Kia - A Real SUV

Kia America’s campaign for the all-new 2027 Kia Seltos presents a series of stylized vignettes that highlight the Seltos’ capability in contrast to competing “toy SUVs.”

The campaign combines CGI with custom-built practical toy vehicles, creating a distinctive visual language that balances playful design with cinematic realism.

I was responsible for the look development and shot lighting of the toy vehicles’ wheels, developing nuanced wood-grain variations, edge wear, scratches, mud, dirt, and surface imperfections to create a convincing, tactile toy aesthetic. I also developed the shot lighting and CG integration, carefully matching the practical environments to maintain consistency in lighting, material response, and scale.

The final imagery achieves a cohesive visual treatment in which CG and practical elements blend seamlessly, reinforcing the campaign’s stylized storytelling while maintaining a polished, cinematic finish.
